A Summer House for Lavinia Stamps Summer Colours Challenge

The new challenge for July at Lavinia Stamps Blog is " Summer Colours"
There was a fabulous response to the last Challenge with so many lovely entries, thank you to everyone who joined us.
Once again the rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration over on their blogs so please take a visit and see what they've all come up with.
I've previously decorated a couple of these MDF Beach Huts and here's an insight into how it's done.
I used a Candy Box Beach Hut to create a "Summer House" and painted using DecoArt chalky finish paint in Delicate and New Life (yellow and green)
Starting with the door I stamped the Cat in black Archival and masked him off before stamping Zen Leaf 2 and the grasses in Archival leaf green. I then stamped the Zen roses and mini stamps around the front panel.
The rear has been stamped with the Zen Tree, sections of the Zen Leaf and the grasses.
On the side panels I added the Zen Plant, Zen Flowers and small butterflies, I've also used Archival ink pads in Orange Blossom and second generation Plum.
The colouring has been done with distress markers.
I stamped the Zen Butterflies for the roof in the same Archival inks and colouring again with the markers.
They were then cut out and mounted on foam pads.
I painstakingly added all the coloured Liquid Pearl dots in the various colours and left aside to dry.
The inside walls are covered in some striped and heart papers from my stash and the inside of the door, roof and floor painted with a pink paint from a tester pot of emulsion before adding the Wording Stamp and Spiders.
The flooring has been finished with a square of Hessian.
Once assembled and glued together I finished painting the joining tabs, I do this at the end to save too much paint build up which can prevent the pieces joining together smoothly.
To finally finish I added the model railway Lichen some pink and orange Fun Flock and a few little
stones from the garden
All the stamps can be found here at Lavinia Stamps Shop
So here you have it a transformed MDF Beach Hut!
Hope you like this and that it provides inspiration for you.
Any Questions please just ask, happy to help...
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today xKx
