Catch up from Creativeworld Frankfurt

Can't believe it's almost two weeks since my first trip to

Thought I'd catch up on this while I'm currently recovering from a horrid flu bug which hit at the weekend and unfortunately meant I had to cancel a craft class on Tuesday.
Sad to miss this but look forward to our next catch up soon.

Craig from the Association for Creative Industries formerly CH-UK had arranged tickets for
myself and two other crafty buddies to attend.
Unfortunately our friend Selina was very poorly and unable to attend, we did miss her but managed to get some information she wanted from specific stands.
We travelled on Friday from Heathrow and arrived late afternoon, checked in and then off out for an evening meal.
Saturday was an early start to spend the day at the show, it really is a massive venue, the show presented some 343 exhibitors from 37 countries.
It was lovely to have a base at AFCI and see many lovely friends and crafty folk over the two days.
The diversity and talent of craft was huge and such an honour to see the variety of inspiration from so many countries and artists, we met some wonderful people!
After Saturday at the show we found a close by Italian bar/bistro, not a German restaurant as we were not up to walking any further, which served an amazing buffet menu and we spent a couple of hours resting our feet enjoying a lovely three course buffet and a very good bottle of red.
Back at the hotel it was shower, a roundup of the day, plan for tomorrow and bed!

We were at the show until just after 3 p.m on Sunday when it was time to make our way back to the airport for our journey home.
You definitely need good walking shoes, Fitbit counter reading some 25,000 plus steps over two days!
Next year we will be booking for the duration of the show so we can pace ourselves more comfortably and look forward to Selina enjoying the experience with us.

Just a snippet of the stands visited as I couldn't bring it all back in my hand luggage so had to be selective! Lol
Craig very kindly bought the rest home to take to Stitches for me to collect.
Back home I have had deliveries of some fabby dies, stamps and products I researched during my visit.
So just 10 days until Stitches which will be a mix of crafty fun and relaxation as I'm booked into the lovely Arden hotel and leisure club with my daughter for the weekend. along with Angela and Selina.
A hot tub and spa will definitely be on the agenda.
We've all been under the weather health wise so I hope we can all enjoy the weekend together.
I'll soon have my next Docrafts demo dates to upload and get preparing for.

I hope you are avoiding the germs and bugs around and keeping snug in the cold, damp weather.
Love and Crafty Hugs xKx
