Texture Triangle

Good morning,
Can't believe it's Friday already.
It's looking like tomorrow is going to be glorious, I do hope so as Mum's care home have a BBQ event and I'm going to be selling a selection of giftware during the day. Then we're heading off out to a birthday party in the evening.
Yesterday I had fun playing with textures on a triangular canvas, another sample for November's workshop.
I used DecoArt mediums and paints along with some Art Ingredients, fabrics and various string and threads.
I love the lush colours, it feels quite rich and opulent.
Anyway here's the result of my playtime...
Hope you have a good day.

Dream Catcher

Another blog post from me this evening,
Been busy so a lot to cram in at the moment! Lol
Ok, so I promised a twist on my ever faithful and trusty CD's.
I had a play a while ago with this idea and I'm now pleased that this project will be covered in my workshops and items I'm preparing for sale at a local gift shop.
***ALTERED CD WORKSHOP is now BOOKING***
All enquiries - craftyk@hotmail.co.uk
I've worked directly on the CD and decorated both sides, a lovely project to do and so easy.
I loved it!
As I'm working with Inka Golds on Saturday at
Lisa B Designs Extravaganza Day I'll also have it with me there.
Here's my Dream Catcher...
I've added my latest clock design here too.
Hope you like it and as always I so appreciate you stopping by my blog, thank you.
Enjoy the rest of your evening, I'm off to watch Masterchef...

700+ Likes Giveaway

Welcome to Sunday Evening,

How's you're weekend been...
I'm missing my Wimbledon tennis fix today but not long until the excitement and anticipation builds again tomorrow!
I've had plenty to keep me occupied never the less.
Mind you with the showery weather this morning I guess it was good the players had their day off today.
Anyhow I promised a ***GIVEAWAY*** when my Facebook Page reached 700 Likes, so here we are.
All you need to do to be in a chance of winning is to comment on this blog post, leave a comment on my Facebook Page, like my Facebook page and share the post, simples!
The winner will be chosen at random and will receive a
BoBunny stamp set and a selection of Mixed Media items from my Website, this may include Rustic ribbons, Rose Petals, Mount board die cuts etc...
I would like to share with you some eye candy and something I've made which will be on sale at a local gift shop.
This is from a selection of gift and home decor items that I will have on display and for sale.
I've used an Oval MDF Plaque with the Large Ornate Lamppost along with some Vintage Collage Ribbon, white Webbing and Rose Petals.
The Vintage ribbon has a wired edge which can be easily removed as I've done for this project.
I painted the plaque with Americana Chalky finish paints and used one of my all time old favourite stamps from Art Journey called Dance.
I've also used various scrapbook papers and embellishments along with a harlequin stencil and texture paste.
Rustic string and lace finish off for hanging the plaque.
The GIVEAWAY will be open until 8pm tomorrow eve (Monday 6th) and I will announce the winner on Wed 7th.
A million thanks for all your wonderful support, comments and feedback, I can't tell you how much it means to me to have such a lovely craft support network.
Enjoy your evening and thank you for popping by.

Held in a bright, new, airy hall with oodles of light and all mod cons.
There are limited spaces for the next project and bookings are open for dates up until the end of the year.

Spring colour canvas with Lavinia Stamps

I've found a new passion in experimenting with altered art and being completely free and creative.
I made this canvas for the Lavinia Stamps Spring Colours challenge and have used the beautiful
Daydreaming Silhouette Fairy
I've used paints, papers, lace, plaster tape and scrim to build up layers and texture.
Also adding tiny beads, paper flowers and laser cut butterflies.
The secret to altered art I feel is to not be afraid and enjoy the freedom to create.
I hope you like what I've created here with this mixture of ingredients...xKx
