Evening everyone,
How's your Monday been...
I'ts been very gloomy here today but productive never the less, washing done, some admin and preparing for Wednesday's Make & Take session, we'll be using Brusho's with Card-io stamps.
I just had to try them on a clock too!
At the weekend I put out our Halloween decorations which add a nice splash of colour and I do love to light candles on these Autumnal evenings.
Thanks for popping by my blog, it's always really appreciated...

Waxing that's good fun!
Morning everyone,
Yuk! It's very damp and grey here this morning and I'm just heading off to Mum's care home, I do hope the M25 is kind to me.
Hope you're week is going well.
On Monday I unpacked and tidied from Sunday's workshop, packed and posted orders.
Tuesday's was another packing and posting day along with getting things together for the Make & Take session yesterday morning.
It was a hive of activity, Lisa joined us before heading off to work, nothing like playing with wax to get your day off to a good start!
Even Krisha from the tea shop managed time, between serving tea's/coffee's and delicious treats, to have a play.
Apart from Maureen everyone was completely new to Encaustic Art and this is what they all produced.
A great morning was had by all creating wonderful waxy masterpieces!
Hope you have a good day and as always big thanks for popping in.

All about Advent
Monday has rolled around again...
Hope you had a nice weekend, we were lucky with good weather here in Kent.
A couple of sunny, bright and colourful Autumn days.
To start the week here's a round up of our crafty day yesterday.
Our hall is called Jubilee Hall and we're known as the "Jubilee Crafter's"
Sounds about right as our crafty days are always special events!
So to get a head start on Christmas we made Advent Calendars.
We used the fabulous Tando Creative Advent Kit.
There's a few mini's left which are great additions to the kits, mill check the stock and add these to the site later today.
It was just perfect with lovely ladies and we welcomed five new members to our day of fun.
A warm welcome to Angela, Sandra B, Sandra H, Lola and our newest young crafter Roxi, who's one to watch with her amazing talent!
All the ladies did a wonderful job with personalising their Advents and each one is so different!
That's what I love at the end of the session, how creative everyone's been and how different the makes all look.
We were so spoilt and everyone went home with very full tummies after eating lots of cake!
Maureen and Pat treated us to homemade mini apple pies and bakewell tarts and Pat also presented me with a beautiful gift she'd decorated, the gorgeous candle. How kind and thoughtful is that.
Honestly ladies I couldn't be happier you are such a wonderful group and I'm so proud of what you achieve each session.
A super group of friends, thank you.
Here's a round up of the day in pictures.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I always appreciate you visiting.
Have a good day and I'll be back soon.
Much love and crafty hugs xxxx

All good fun
Friday already,
Where did that week go to?!
It's a gorgeous morning here in Kent and I intend to make the most of it while it's here.
Today I have a few samples of things coming up soon.
Firstly make and take sessions being introduced at our monthly workshops, for these I've had fun with shaving foam.
Secondly a local community project set up with the library where there's also a lovely community cafe, with homemade cakes and pasties made locally.
It's a place to meet friends, buy local produce and attend workshops and drop in sessions as well as access the library services.
I'm starting some Make and Take and Demo sessions there for all skill levels.
I hope your day is sunny and bright, thank you so much for visiting.
Back soon

Shabby CD's
Evening everyone,
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit.
We had sun here this morning but rain this afternoon, luckily managed to get some washing done and then some admin stuff.
I've also been playing with samples for our September workshop, altered CD's.
This one uses my favourite DécoArt chalky finish paints along with Andy Skinner's French Elements stencil.
Really enjoying creating these.
Hope you have a good evening.
Back soon, crafty hugs xKx

Texture Triangle
Good morning,
Can't believe it's Friday already.
It's looking like tomorrow is going to be glorious, I do hope so as Mum's care home have a BBQ event and I'm going to be selling a selection of giftware during the day. Then we're heading off out to a birthday party in the evening.
Yesterday I had fun playing with textures on a triangular canvas, another sample for November's workshop.
I used DecoArt mediums and paints along with some Art Ingredients, fabrics and various string and threads.
I love the lush colours, it feels quite rich and opulent.
Anyway here's the result of my playtime...
Hope you have a good day.

New Workshop Project - Shaped canvases
Evening all,
Today is I've been working on a new workshop project for Kent in November.
We're going to be creating on shaped chunky canvases and this is one idea.
I had a play with this triangular one and of course a new clock was born but the ladies will have free reign and don't have to do a clock.
After all there's so much that can be done on these great bases and this is just one of the shapes that's available for the workshop.
I really enjoyed creating this, such great fun to do.
So before I head off to cook dinner and get ready for Bake Off I'll leave you with pictures of today's make.
Have a nice evening and thanks ever so for popping by.

Getting Folky!
Morning,
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend, did you do anything nice?...
On Saturday I did a few chores and decided to bake a Mary Berry Victoria Sponge for our crafty session yesterday.
It seemed to be a success as the tin is now empty!
I do love GBBO!
Anyhow we had a super Sunday all inspired by the lovely ladies over at Folk It and for my involvement with Déco Art Helping Artist, which was quite appropriate as we have invited new members to the group recently and yesterday a young new member and her mum who are very keen to come along and join in again next time.
That's what it's all about a mixed ability group of all ages, getting together, having fun and enjoying crafting.
So with the help of my other half Paul, whom I couldn't do this without and I thank enormously for always supporting me in every way, we got set up for the day in our bright, all mod cons hall.
I bring along and set up a "mobile shop" we all love to add to our crafty stash!
The early birds are already tempted!
As a bit of a Thank You and a gift I supplied the crafter's with a plain journal book and some black and Kraft card to practise their "Folk Art" and use as a class book for jotting down hints and tips shared on the day.
After a catch up and a coffee to get us started it was down to crafty business before lunch and cake and finishing off in the afternoon.
I was so impressed by all the wonderful results, I know it was really out of the comfort zone for some but hey here's a glimpse of some of the results and works in progress.
We all loved Dotting!
Thank you all for a wonderful day and creating such stunning home decor pieces.

Below is my demo sample MDF box which uses Americana chalky finish paint in Timeless and Relic for my base coat.
I sponged Relic on then used the scourer to distress with Timeless.
Americana acrylic colours used, Tomato Red, Warm White, Baby Blue and Hauser Light Green.
The Tall Gift Box is from Candy Box Crafts
Further projects and ideas
We practised techniques for our Folk Art Journals
and used a whole host of DecoArt products...
Our next session on September 13th is Altered CD's.
October is our Christmas project
November and December are brand new projects...
We've started our project list for next year which will include by request
Triple Beach Huts and revisiting Tarmac!...
Have a good Monday, I'm off to make a start on a new project!
Love and Hugs xKx
