Evening everyone,
How's your Monday been...
I'ts been very gloomy here today but productive never the less, washing done, some admin and preparing for Wednesday's Make & Take session, we'll be using Brusho's with Card-io stamps.
I just had to try them on a clock too!
At the weekend I put out our Halloween decorations which add a nice splash of colour and I do love to light candles on these Autumnal evenings.
Thanks for popping by my blog, it's always really appreciated...

My type of ironing!
Morning,
Friday has arrived after a very busy but fun week in which I appear to have conquered my ironing phobia! Lol
This ironing I like to do and so it would seem do many of you..
The art of Encaustic Wax and using a craft iron.
Many of you have had the kit buried away since the very early days and since the reappearance on Hochanda recently the craft has had a real revival.
Others of you have purchased more recently or intending to very soon!
After some play time with Encaustic Art myself and running the Make and Take session on Wednesday I was eager to use the technique for some clock faces after the other samples I've done recently.
Oh my I just love it, 10 min clocks, oh so simple but oh so abstract and arty.
Can't wait to do more...
If you haven't tried it yet you simply must, it's quick easy and enormous fun!
Thank you for your visit today, happy crafting and ironing!

Some Silhouettes and Surprises
Good Morning,
It's been a busy old week here, a time of year with lots of birthdays and celebrations going on.
So I've not only pepping work, making stock items and orders but also some special makes too.
Now I can't share everything just yet as it would spoil the surprise and I do love surprises don't you.
What I can share is some makes from the craft session and demo at a local Meeing Place.
It's a great scheme where the little local library has a lovely tea room and lots of other things of interest going on apart from yummy cakes and savouries, cream teas and coffee's.
I met a local WI lady while I was there and someone who had just moved into the area, naturally I asked if she was a crafter and guess what? Of course I'd met another obsessive crafter!
I've also been busy with my clocks again and came up with something for fellow Beagle lovers.
There's also a quick birthday card I did yesterday for a little young man.
I've got lots of exciting things to work with over the next few week, including things I've used on these recent makes and a few old favourites that have made a return for me.
I've pretty much come full circle which is exciting, using much loved and trusty favourites like Crafty Individuals, Bee Crafty, Tapestry and Card-io peg stamps which are perfect for my clocks.
I'm finishing this after taking my daughter to the station earlier, such a foggy start but I think we're in for another glorious day when it clears.
I must get in with my day now so I'll love you and leave you.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by, it's always so appreciated.

Portrait of an Icon
Hello lovely people,
Hope you had a good weekend and start to the week.
Over the weekend we were really spoilt with the weather here in Kent but the rain appeared again yesterday.
On Saturday I organised using the function tea room at mum's care home to do a surprise afternoon tea for her with my daughter, my big bro and my sister in law.
Mum did really well and it was lovely to be able to have some of the family together and catch up.
Then on Sunday I started to prep my work area for jobs I need to do this week and I cooked a curry before settling down in the evening to watch the long awaited last series of Downton.
Oh I was in my element, it was the start of the happy endings!
Yesterday my lovely daughter is took me to The National Potrait Gallery to see the exhibition - Portraits of an Icon The Audrey Hepburn Collection.
A fabulous treat!
Then we went to Jamie Oliver's Union Jack restaurant in Covent Garden and enjoyed a lovely meal.
Below I'm sharing a crafty collection I created featuring Audrey Hepburn.
She really was so captivating and inspiring and I hope you like the projects I created.
There's some further pics of postcards I picked up yesterday that I have crafty plans too.
Now it's back to work today, lots to do this week.
Hope you have a good day and I'll be back soon.

A rainy end to the day
Hello there,
How's your Bank Holiday going so far?...
We've been having a lovely time, I caught up with some super friends.
Socialising and eating out and yesterday we received super news as my daughter passed the penultimate exams for her chartered accounting course, nearly the end of a three year slog.
We celebrated with bubbles last night!
Today was gorgeous sunshine this morning so I took advantage of a bit of a relax on the lounger in the garden.
This evening the rain appeared so I'm glad I made the most of the sun earlier.
I've had lots of interest in the revival of my little clocks so this evening I have a new addition along with some old favourites to share.
I'll leave you with these before relaxing for the evening and hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thanks so much for visiting,

New Workshop Project - Shaped canvases
Evening all,
Today is I've been working on a new workshop project for Kent in November.
We're going to be creating on shaped chunky canvases and this is one idea.
I had a play with this triangular one and of course a new clock was born but the ladies will have free reign and don't have to do a clock.
After all there's so much that can be done on these great bases and this is just one of the shapes that's available for the workshop.
I really enjoyed creating this, such great fun to do.
So before I head off to cook dinner and get ready for Bake Off I'll leave you with pictures of today's make.
Have a nice evening and thanks ever so for popping by.

Friday's sneaky peek...
Glorious day today,
Some of you know I'm taking some time out for some much needed convalescing after an accumulation of health issues that have really taken their toll.
Things are still ticking along never the less and I'm pottering and creating at my leisure and making a few changes here and there.
It's good to have this time to reflect...
Inspiration from a friend for future arty works
"I'm working on a Brand New Ending!"
and this is just the Begining...
My workshop ladies are being hugely supportive at this time, as they always are.
I do love the crafty time I spend with these genuinely lovely friends, away from so much negativity.
We laugh, chat and chill out learning from each other along the way...
Anyway today I'm sharing a sneaky peek of my make for the lovely Lisa B, to see the whole thing you'll have to pop over to my tutorial over on her blog here lisabdesignsinspiration.blogspot
I do hope you enjoy a lovely weekend whatever you're doing.

Tropical Rain
Good morning all,
Well it's Friday and nearly the weekend again.
Hope it's a good one for you...
Today I'm sharing the sample for my next workshop on the 22nd Feb here in a Kent.
The ladies at the last workshop already had a sneaky peek last Sunday.
Anyway it's a clock canvas using the wonderful Designs by Ryn stamps and beautiful Brusho's.
I'm sure as always the ladies will put their own spin on the idea and be wonderfully creative and I look forward to seeing what ideas they come up with.
If it's anything like their fabulous Brusho boxes we're in for a real treat.
I hope you gave a lovely day and I'll leave you with my finished sample.

Baby Boy Clock
Happy Friday Bloggers,
It's lovely and bright here today, rather chilly though!
I'm off to do a bit of "C" shopping later ;-) and grab a bite to eat with my daughter who's had another exam to sit this morning.
Then I'll be catching up on craft work all weekend, what have you got planned?
I thought I'd share this commission clock I was asked to make, I used Tatty Button Toadstool Retreat stamp.
The design and composition work well for the clock and I decoupaged the toadstool top.
After stamping with Sepia Versafine onto cream card I water coloured the image using distress ink.
The green Flower Soft was an after thought but I really like how it works.
To personalise as requested I wrote the name one with a gel pen.
It's mounted into a contrasting base and finished with contrasting Candi and peel-offs.
Mount onto the CD then assemble into CD clock.
Hope you enjoy this post...xKx
