New and Old

Good evening all,
What a gorgeous day it's been for being out and about as I have, absolutely glorious.
Since I started making CD clocks a few years ago now I've been selling them in various outlets and online as well as sharing the techniques with crafter's at demo's and workshops.
Their popularity never ceases to amaze me and I'm so grateful for the wonderful support and feedback I continue to receive about them.
So what's "New"...
Today I set up "shop" in a new venue that helps support small businesses, I've always enjoyed selling my craft as well as teaching which is a more recent approach I've taken.

Now for the "Old"
At the Ali Craft weekend retreat the project on Saturday was a DecoArt project bought to us by Barbara Nicholson.
We used DecoArt techniques and inspiration to create this aged and rusted piece.
Lots of layers went into this and I was very happy with my result.
I'm already buzzing with ideas to put my own spin on this in lots of different ways.
That's all for now, thank you for calling in.

Home from Home

A very good morning to you all,
I hope this finds you well and having a good week so far...
Today I am bringing a photo round up of a fabulous weekend I spent with Ali and Iain from
Ali Craft.
They worked enormously hard to organise the craft retreat at The Daventry Court Hotel.
I drove there after picking up a friend from my local workshops, Maureen. Apart from Ali and Iain, I knew only one other crafty friend on arrival.
From the minute we arrived we were instantly made to feel right at home as part of the group and everyone was so friendly and welcoming.
Everything was laid on for the event and apart from crafting the time revolved around food!
Whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or every snack in between, we certainly didn't go hungry!
The project on Saturday was from DecoArt and the class was hosted by Barbara, as this post is very photo heavy I'll add my photo's from this in a separate post.
Ali asked me to design a new project for the Sunday workshop and here's what I came up with below.
I'm sure we'll see many more interpretations of this in the weeks to follow, it's such great fun to do.
Along with a round up of the class day in photo's, a couple of pics of the hotel and as I was away from my Nespresso coffee machine at home, the next best thing! The craft rooms all singing, all dancing drink as much as you like machine!
I was truly in my element and a big thank you to Ali and Iain for inviting me and all the lovely ladies I met who made me feel so welcome.
We had such a fabulous time and fun from start to finish.
Enjoy the rest of your week and as always a big thank you for popping in today.
Much love and crafty hugs xKx

One more sleep!

Hello lovely people,
The week is whizzing by once again.
It's been a real mix of weather and I've managed to get lots done including the packing and prep for this coming weekend away...
Only one more sleep until I set off for the Ali Craft Retreat in Daventry.
A super time planned crafting and so using with friends old and new.
I hope everyone likes the project I have prepared for the class on Sunday, I had fun doing it and it's fun and relaxing too.
I'm thrilled that the lovely Ali and Iain invited me to host this workshop in such a super venue, a big thank you goes to them and for all their planning and organisation.
In readiness I have another quick sneaky peek of our project which I'll leave you with and wish you a good day.
Thanks so much for visiting,

My passion for mixed media...

Afternoon folks,

Well today's weather has been very grey but still warm never the less.
Hope any rain hasn't hindered your plans this weekend...
My week's been pretty hectic with family things and errands I'd put off for too long.
All being well tomorrow I'm meeting up with a dear friend for lunch.

Anyhow earlier in the year I was very honoured to be invited by
Ali and Iain of Ali-Craft to run the Sunday workshop for their
 Daventry Retreat in September.
I've been planning and working on a new mixed media project and I'm now ready to reveal some sneaky peeks.
As my blog describes I have no boundaries when it comes to creating and I like to stay focussed on what I like and just play with anything and everything! Lol
That way I create things I like and can unleash my creativity which is what gives me most pleasure.

The Ali-Craft retreat is sure to be a fab weekend, super accommodation, great food and company and most of all good fun!
I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new one's and enjoying sharing a fun crafty day when we do this project.
So without further ado I'll leave you with sneaky peeks...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thank you for visiting my blog today.
