Workshop 7th Sept being held at Pink Tulip Creations

I am sending this sample off to the lovely Sheila at Pink Tulip Creations for the workshop I'm holding there on the 7th Sept.
There are a couple of spaces left if you are interested please email me directly craftyk@hotmail.co.uk
Those that have been following this project of mine will know I've done a few versions now, this being the latest.
I have one more to do for The Artistic Stamper this workshop is being held on the 20th Sept.
Bookings taken directly through Jennie at the shop.
My inspiration for these books comes from a lovely lady Sanda Reynolds who's workshop I was fortunate enough to attend earlier this year and the ever inspiring Finnabair, I might have mentioned I'm booked on her Oct workshops, I'm just a tad excited!!!

On the note of being inspired I do think it's a shame that credit is not always given when we are inspired by someone's work. We alter and adapt to our own individual style but please remember the hours of hard work and effort that crafters and artists put in to their creations and remember to give credit out of courtesy if nothing else, it costs nothing.
This happened recently to me and to be honest I feel extremely flattered that my work gave inspiration, it's why I do it and what what makes me so happy! but, sad that the standard and courtesy of giving credit slipped.

Anyhow back to what's important and what makes me tick, sharing craft! So here's my offering today...have a wonderful day xxKx

An ending and a New Beginning...

Happy Sunday Crafters,
Today I have a little Finnabair inspired project to share which also marks the end of an era.
A year ago I was invited with the other DT members to join the
Sweet Lilac Design Team.
We joined for this fixed term which has gone in a flash!
It's been a real privilege to be a part of the team and have the opportunity to work with the most gorgeous flowers and embellishments.
So I want to say a big thank you to Sue and Chris for giving me this opportunity and the rest of the DT for being such lovely team mates and friends, lovely ladies Jo, Theresa and Linda.
As we leave a whole new design team will start their roles and be announced in a few days, this will generate new and fresh ideas and open up the opportunities to introduce more crafters to these lovely products.
We all wish the new team very well in their new roles, and are sure they'll have a great time promoting the products.
I too have a brand new role looming elsewhere and I will share more when it becomes official.
So I wanted to make a rather special piece to mark the occasion of one role ending and another beginning.
I used this mini printer tray from Tando to create my version of a Finnabair style piece.
I'm also very excited as I'll be attending Finn's Oct workshops with this lovely lady who's a complete inspiration and I really can't wait!
So here's my piece, I do hope you like it, enjoy your day.
Thank you so much for looking and all the wonderful supportive comments and feedback...xxKxx

Travel Tag Tim Style

Morning,
Today is a day off and I'm meeting with my bestie for coffee and lunch, can't wait for our catch up!
This is a quick card I made using a tag using Tim Holtz Travel stamp set and some elements for the Hero Arts Brush Strokes set, I do love these useful stamps.
Stamped in distress ink with a distress ink blended background on the card, finished with some string and raffia that I stamped on after opening it up.
Tomorrow I have a little Finn inspired make to share...
Have a lovely day xxKxx

War Horse with Sweet Poppy Stencils

Busy, busy but wanted to share this beautiful new Steampunk style
Mechanical Horse stencil designed by Emma Cronin for Sweet Poppy Stencils.
I immediately thought of War Horse and combined it with translucent paste and micro beads, Poppy stencil and distress inks.
It's a truly beautiful stencil and combines so well with the Poppies I think.
More to show you later...xKx
Thanks ever so much for looking...

Lavinia Stamps August Challenge Add Some Glitter

Morning,
We were recently at my Great Nieces Christening, it was such a lovely special day and little Holly was an absolute angel all through the service.
We all had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
I wanted to make her something really special, a truly keepsake gift.
So it just had to be done with Lavinia Stamps.
I also used this lovely MDF birdhouse from Candy Box Crafts which Roy kindly cut a money slot in the roof for me and a clock using the MDF scallop face.
Alongside the Lavinia Stamps I used paper from my stash, distress and Versafine inks, white pigment ink pad with a glitter embossing powder and some stickles.
Any further info you would like please just message me.
So I'm showing this today for the start of the new
Lavinia Stamps Challenge Add Some Glitter.
Please do pop by the rest of the DT blogs to see their amazing inspiration.
Hope you can join us for the challenge the winner receives a very generous £40 voucher to spend online!
I'll be back later with more Sweet Poppy...xKx

Brand New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Today I have the first of my makes using the
Mechanical Dog from Sweet Poppy Stencils to share with you.
I'm so excited to show you these new designs, they'll be on Create and Craft Wednesday 6th August.
For this first sample I embossed the stencil through my Grand Calibur twice, one for the main image and one to cut out.
Coloured with black soot distress ink, liquid pearls on the collars, layered up, few nuts and washers and hey presto, Walkies!
Simples!
My immediate thought when I saw them 101Dalmatians!
Hope you love them as much as I do, I have the wonderful Mechanical Horse to share with you later...xKx
