Demo day Saturday 3rd

Just time for a quick blog post this evening.
Hope you are well and have had a good day.
Here's a few samples for my demo this Saturday 3rd May at The Range in Canterbury for Docrafts.
There's some gorgeous new X-Cut dies, metallic elements and Santoro Gorjuss stamp sets.
All really useful and versatile, I'm enjoying creating with these and look forward to sharing with crafty customers on Saturday.
If you can't make Saturday, I'll be in Chatham on Sunday.
Have a good evening...xKx

Gift wrapping

Good Morning,
A short week this week after the bank holiday weekend, hope you had a good one and were able to relax a bit and enjoy.
Yesterday was my daughter, Jennifer's 30th birthday and I don't know where the years have gone!
She was born prem, 9 weeks early at 2lb 15oz so every birthday is special and this was no exception.
I organised a few surprises for her, one of which was to gather friends and family for a celebration lunch at a lovely pub/restaurant.
She had no idea anyone else would be there except for her, Paul and I as we had already done a few things and she had been given her presents.
We had a lovely meal with family on Friday evening, went to local gardens and historic house on Saturday and had cream tea and she had a day out in London on Sunday with family.
So thinking it would just be a quiet meal on Sunday she was very surprised when more family and friends joined us.
It was a brilliant day and such a happy time.
I decided to try something different for her present wrapping and chose kraft brown wrapping paper which I stencilled using
 Imagination Crafts Starlights and stencils.
I was so pleased with the result and will definitely be doing this again.
You can really personalise gift wrap in this way and keep to a colour theme too, Jennifer's colour is purple.
Hope you have a good week, at least it will be a short working week.
Sending love and hugs xxx

Stencil and Starlights

A quick card made using two Imagination Crafts stencils, the background is called Retro Squares, I'm unsure of the name of the second which also has a butterfly on it but it caught my eye as really useful for a background or main feature/s.
Starlights were used randomly through the Retro Squares in both Lavender and Pink Sunset then I used black archival for the section of the second stencil, masking off other areas.
The black on the shimmer and sparkle gives such an elegant and striking design.
Finished with dream cut from a die.
Have a great day...x

Live Life in Colour

Another quick make, use as a card topper, gift tag or bookmark.
Stamps from Imagine Design Create, using the same sets as in my previous post -
Creative Quotes
Colour Splash
I've gone for a large tag, you can cut one easily from stamping card or use a die.
Simply punch or die cut a circle from six post it notes, one for each colour.
Using the negative blend distress ink through to give a circle of colour, slightly overlap for the next colourway until the six circles are complete.
Stamp your chosen colour splashes and sentiment.
Enjoy crafting...x

Ideas for planners and journals

I'm having a play with ideas for the planner I'm designing for myself.
Having researched planners and supplies and previously bought endless books and notebooks for planning that didn't quite meet my needs I decided it was time to create my own.
Starting with WE R MEMORY KEEPERS-Cinch Bindery Tool it's possible to create endless books, mini albums and journals.
It's a great piece of kit and I love it,  especially as I love notebooks, list and planners so much.
It comes with some wires and c12 x 12 chipboard included.
I was fortunate to find a new machine at a bargain price on Ebay.
I have some super stamps arriving soon from the lovely Loti Maria at Mama Makes.
Initially I've been gathering bits and bobs and ideas before I get started for "real"
I need to think about the cover I want t create and have a plan in mind but need to try it out first.
Having waited so long for the perfect planner it's going to be worth taking time to get it right for me.
There are so many things that can be added to a planner, pockets, envelopes, post it notes, charms, clips, wash tape stickers.
So jotting own some ideas initially here's a few decorated paperclips I made a while back that will be a perfect  addition, they were made using Docrafts mini dies, real favourites of mine.

The start of a journey...

The start of a journey...
I've never been able to find a planner or journal that suited my requirements so I'm designing one myself.
The perfect size for me, lots of space to write my notes, daily reminders, blank and lined double sides pages for doodling and ideas.
Addition of pockets, pages for artwork and anything else I need to keep organised and in one place!
Believe in yourself and you can create the perfect solution.
Watch the story unfold and continue here on my blog...
