Craft, cake, coffee and chat...

Happy Friday evening to you all,
Hope you are well and have had a good week.
I'm here with a quick blog catch up before the weekend.
Sharing a few makes from this week's library crafting session and the samples for this coming Tuesday.
This week we used the Altenew Painted poppy set with Brusho's also their Festive Silhouettes and Lacy Scrolls.
The ladies did wonderful work as always and we had a lovely morning crafting away.
This week we are using Inkylicious, Aspen Leaves and a leafy branch from their Flight of Dreams set.
I must tidy up now and get ready for the next jobs on my list.
We are planning a relaxing weekend and hope you can do the same, enjoy...

Beach Huts to Buttons...

A early evening Friday post from me, it's nearly the weekend! Yay!
You may have seen my latest news, I'm now demonstrating for Docrafts at locations throughout Kent.
Last Saturday I had a trial demo day at The Range in Chatham, it was a lovely day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I'm happy to say I was told I'd done a great job!
This week my Purple pinny and a substantial amount of kit have arrived and I'm booked in for demo's throughout September.
This fits in nicely around my own workshops, craft sessions and making my gifts that I sell.
So I have a few more makes from the day to share with you.
whatever you have planned for the evening I hope it's enjoyable and you can relax.

Adhesive Stencils

Good Morning,

A quick blog post while I'm enjoying my morning cuppa and at the moment there's a very pleasant breeze through the window.
I'm doing a lot of forward planning and preparation at the moment for my next craft sessions and workshops.
August is glass decoupage which is sorted and September, October, November and December are all pretty much planned with goodies on order so once they arrive I can have fun playing and preparing my samples for the ladies.
That leaves me time to look at some samples for the library session on Tuesday and then I can concentrate on samples for Docrafts when the new releases arrive.
Here today are two different Masterboards I created for the demo day on Saturday using Docrafts adhesive stencils and their acrylic paints.
If you haven't dabbled in the mixed media area before these are a really great way to get started and experiment with some fun, cool techniques.
It looks complicated but it really is't!
I created two different colour ways and used them for the background of my cards which also use the lovely Dream stencil.
This technique always goes down well and it's so satisfying to do and achieve fantastic results.
Have a good day and I hope you can manage keep cool and comfortable.

Altered Pringle tube

Evening,
Phew, I hope you have managed ok in the heat today.
Definitely a time for trying to keep cool, nice cold drinks and ice cream.
Hope you can relax this evening...
I'm sharing a Pringle tube I altered for a Docrafts demonstration I did at the Range in Chatham on Saturday.
I used papers from the Mr Smiths Workshop range for a grungy look, the one I chose for the outside reminded me of the ridges on tin cans, inside was a plain paper with a patina, metallic look.
I added flowers that I made from the same papers, some lace and buttons to pretty it up.
The edges were finished by gilding with some gold paint.
Hope you enjoy and find some inspiration...
Once you've done one you can't stop!
Thank you for visiting.

What's coming up next

A mid week catch up from me before I head out today, a day off meeting my bestie for coffee and lunch.
It was lovely to be back with the ladies crafting yesterday and they did a great job and enjoyed learning how to use Altenew stamps.
We throughly enjoyed Toby's sticky toffee cake too, it was to die for and Maureen and I could have easily polished it all off!
I also have another sample to share with you made for this weekend's demo session.
I've used Docrafts adhesive stencils and acrylic paints to create a masterboard background which I used as the basis for the word dream, stencilled with their gold paint and mounted onto black card.
Finally the addition of a red bloom, separate petals and finishing with some of their buttons.
I'll be back with some more samples before the weekend, hope you have a good day.
